design help with curtain ?
i have big window in my room that is an arch. how do i address this when putting up curtain or drapes?

should I hang in my formal main room

I have a carmel wall main room with “paprika” colored couches. The trim in the room is white (we”re not painting it, even though we should) and the blinds are a dark wood (almost purple). You can either go above the arc, if you don’t want as much light or go just below the arc and show a gorgeous feature. Or you can do those dingy things on the sides so you don’t have a bar running across the window at all.
If you went a place that specialized in curtains (like JCPenny’s or Linens N Things, or somewhere like that) they could help you to pick out curtains for arched windows. Or you could simply put up curtains like they were a square window, with a bar running across it.
Go just below the arch with the curtain rod. The part that is above the rod(the arch itself) can be somewhat covered by attaching artificial flowers or vines to it with thumbtacks. This gives the window a natural feel.
Some arched windows look very good without adding anything above the rod. You just have to try it and see what you like.
